The Client

The Tennessee Riverboat Company is a family-owned authentic paddlewheel riverboat operating in Knoxville, TN. Owned and operated by the Cheek family for over 30 years, they proudly offer Tennessee River Cruises year-round. Coast Guard approved for 200 passengers, the boat is the perfect venue for private parties or tour groups, weddings, receptions, school field trips, and more, while offering daily lunch, dinner, and sightseeing options.

The Ask

Heading into a new year of tourism and local special events, the Tennessee Riverboat Company enlisted the expertise of IonPros to boost website traffic, the primary avenue for booking tickets.

The Action

IonPros implemented a range of services to drive more ticket sales:

SEO – We made optimization recommendations, including significant content updates and the addition of pages to make the user experience a more seamless one, particularly on the phone.

Photoshoot – We did a one-day photo and video shoot to update all graphics for the boat, including drone footage of the boat sailing on the river. These images were used to freshen up the website, and extensively on social media channels.

Email Marketing – We create 2 email templates per month based on specialty cruises offered, such as Cinco de Mayo, or Easter cruises.

Social Media – We created Facebook and Instagram content pieces for them to post, and delivered a social media content calendar for the entire year.
